The Carver College of Medicine Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology is seeking a Research Associate to execute planned research activities using observation, measurement, and analytical techniques. Perform animal experimentation and assist in animal care functions of research animals following facility standard operating procedures of transgenic, multi-line mouse colonies.
Duties to include:
Conduct metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurophysiological experiments on animals (rodents) involving vascular cannulation and blood pressure recording, nerve activity recordings, metabolic cages etc Work closely with the OAR facility and veterinarian staff to address concerns of animal care.
