Job Description

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research assistant in the area of solid waste management. The research assistant should be knowledgeable of solid waste characterization and bioreactor experiments. The candidate should be able to synthesize and characterize landfill‑derived waste materials, including plastic waste, and perform laboratory experiments to generate results required for life cycle assessment.

The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in solid waste characterization and hold a master’s degree in a related field. Prior research publications are an added advantage.

Minimum Qualification

• Master’s degree in engineering, science, or technology

• Master’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or environmental science
