Job Description:

The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research assistant in the area of aeroacoustics. The research assistant should be knowledgeable of sound propagation in duct, wave equations and aeroacoustics. The candidate should be able to synthesize, characterize and apply acoustical theory and sound generation physics for flow duct noise control. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in aeroacoustics and aerodynamics and have a master degree in a relevant field.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Skilled in aeroacoustic and aerodynamic simulation
• Ability to synthesize and characterize sound sources in a flow duct with discontinuous boundaries
• Good technical writing skills
• Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role
