Health Research South (HRS) is responsible for the integrity of health research conducted within the joint research environment of the Faculty of Medicine – Dunedin (FoM‑D) and Health NewZealandSouthern. Operating out of FoM‑D’s Office of the Dean, HRS promotes and approves arrangements for undertaking research within this joint environment and also acts as the research office for Health NZ Southern.

Role Overview

The Research Administrator provides high‑level research administration support to HRS, including financial administration, database entry, and coordination of research committees. The role involves managing the distribution of HRS funds, supporting monthly and quarterly reporting, and assisting with the monitoring and administration of Health NZ Southern research accounts.
