Under the supervision of the Administrative Nurse Manager, guided by the policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Care Center, and in collaboration with the physician and other clinical staff, the Clinical Nurse PD is responsible for providing safe, efficient nursing care to patients in an out-patient, primary care practice. Triages patients and responds appropriately according to protocol and nursing assessment. The Clinical Nurse PD utilizes the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation) to provide safe and therapeutic clinical care. The Clinical Nurse PD also provides clinical support to providers and participates as part of the health care team to assure coordination and continuity of patient care.
