Job Description

The Registered Nurse's primary duties include providing treatment, rehabilitation, and medical support services to all persons served within the program as a member of the residential treatment program. The RN has responsibility for oversight of medication pursuant to psychiatrist's orders, health needs of persons, assessing somatic complaints of persons, maintaining medical records, and implementing orders of primary care physicians. The RN maintains health records and cares for persons with minor injuries or illnesses and monitors medical and pharmacological treatments. The RN provides supportive counseling, support services, and other clinical and rehabilitative services as credentialed. The RN assists with dispensing prescribed medication, works as an integral member of the treatment team and consistently exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the duties of the position.
