Summary The Registered Nurse, Minimum Data Set (MDS), Community Living Center (CLC), executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex resident care. The RN MDS collaborates in the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of policies, procedures, and/or guidelines. The RN MDS demonstrates performance and leadership that is broad enough to improve the care for CLC residents. Responsibilities The RN, MDS CLC performs duties that include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for coding the sections of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI)/MDS Assessment and the Care Area Assessments (CAAs) that are assigned to nursing, adhering to current Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) timeframes of assessment completion.
