Job Description Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing services in the ICU to acutely ill patients, ensuring quality and compassionate care while adhering to hospital policies and protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced nursing care to ICU patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and responding to emergent situations.
- Perform invasive procedures such as insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, and chest tubes.
- Document patient information accurately and timely using the Meditech system.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with certification requirements and hospital policies, including ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Assist with patient and family education, providing attentive and compassionate support.
