Job Overview

The Operating Room Nurse Certified provides patient care in a surgical setting in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Well-versed in standard surgical procedures and patient care protocols to effectively monitor and manage the patient and operative environment during surgery. Provides guidance and oversight of new graduate nurses and newly hired team members in all patient care and clinical activities and ensures that behaviors adhere to documentation standards, standards of excellence and all other policies and procedures.

The Operating Room at Children’s Hospital Colorado-Colorado Springs is a Level II Trauma Center with 4 OR units and a procedure room that treats children and adolescents.
