A Behavior Technician (BT) is a paraprofessional who works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Job Duties:

1. Implementing ABA therapy programs: Following behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and individualized treatment plans designed by the BCBA to teach new skills and reduce problem behaviors.

2. Collecting data: Recording objective data on client progress and behavior during therapy sessions to track outcomes and inform treatment decisions.

3. Providing direct therapy: Interacting one-on-one with clients during therapy sessions, using behaviorally-based teaching techniques such as discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic...
