New Zealand Red Cross (managed by Volunteering Canterbury)

We’re looking for friendly volunteers to deliver meals from our Redwood pick up point to surrounding suburbs including Bishopdale, Papanui, Papanui North, Redwood, Belfast and Kaiapoi. Shifts start and end at St Silas Church on Main North Road, and meal pickup time is 11.10 am Mon‑Fri. We do offer a contribution towards petrol. If you are available once a week, fortnightly, monthly or even as an on‑call driver, we would love to hear from you.

We’ll train you on how to carry out the role and you will be supported by Red Cross Meals on Wheels coordinators and other volunteers.

What we need from you:

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Vehicle with a valid registration (rego) and warrant of fitness.
• Two character references.
