Detailed Overview

Under the direction of the Recreation Therapist or designate, plans, develops, implements and evaluates therapeutic recreation and social programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, intellectual and spiritual needs of the clients for the designated program. Responsibilities Plans, implements and evaluates a therapeutic recreation program involving individual and group activities such as arts and crafts, sports, music, mental aerobics, woodworking, cooking, gardening and exercises to meet the client's social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual needs and interests. Prepares a calendar of events and instructs participants in the techniques and any required adaptations of related activities to meet the needs of the resident.
