What You Will DoThe Thermomechanical Processing Science Team is seeking a Research and Development Engineer to join the Team to assist research projects investigating the metallurgy of manufacturing. The Thermomechanical Processing Science Team works on metal forming and heat-treating projects using equipment such as hydraulic presses, rolling mills, and vacuum heat-treating furnaces. We support a wide variety of programs with an emphasis on identifying creative solutions to meet our customer's needs. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively on both independent projects or as part of a team to assist on projects in a science-based prototype manufacturing environment. In general, you will be expected to fulfill the normal roles of a product or process engineer.
