JOB SUMMARY
Provide radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by radiation oncologists.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician's prescription, using linear accelerators and other radiation equipment.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient procedures.
- Position patients accurately for treatment delivery, utilizing immobilization devices as needed.
- Perform machine checks and quality assurance procedures to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery.
- Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions and report changes to the physician or nurse.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and physicists to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about the treatment process and potential side effects.
