Quality Engineer (Product Safety Representative)

The Quality Engineer (Product Safety Representative) will ensure that the Group Africa adheres to the legal obligation to ensure product safety to avoid risks of loss/damages to person or property that arise from the use of vehicle products.

Duties & Responsibilities Assisting in new projects with the establishment of Product Safety, targeting complete implementation of actions/corrective actions to vehicle safety requirements for the prevention of repeat failures using the Product Safety catalogue (lessons learnt). Inspecting pre-series units in conjunction with other Q-type responsible PSBs to expedite safety-relevant problem recognition and corrective action implementation. Undertaking regular vehicle and line checks to evaluate current production (parts, part assemblies, and sub-assemblies), and obtain corrective actions for any potential safety-relevant problems detected.
