A client of Sharp Decisions is seeking a QA Analyst for a long-term hybrid engagement in Los Angeles, CA. This individual will be responsible for analyzing CAP bundles, classifying RSECS, and executing a range of testing methods across mainframe batch, online, and interface components in a financial services environment.
Daily Responsibilities
Analyze CAP bundles and classify RSECS into Enhancements, Regulatory, and Corrections; select the appropriate test method (SCRIPT, FFPP, or FFPP-possible). Determine client usage of impacted processes (homegrown vs. base code) and recommend whether changes are applied, commented, or excluded; define regression scope accordingly. Plan and execute tests when incoming fixes differ from the client's prior implementation (not line-for-line). Author and run manual scripts (tes...
