The Psychologist will work collaboratively with the interprofessional team members and community partners to provide psychological services to individuals with mental illness who have come into conflict with the law, in order to reduce the impact of their illness and to enhance quality of life. The Psychologist will engage in evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation. The Psychologist may be involved in research and program evaluation and training of psychology graduate students and those in medicine/psychiatry. To this end, the Psychologist may pursue adjunct academic appointments with Queen’s University Department of Psychiatry (Forensic Division) and Department of Psychology (as a Clinical Supervisor).
