About the role

New Zealand Police are offering an exciting opportunity to join the Police Prosecution Service (PPS) as a Prosecutor within Counties Manukau, Auckland Central and Henderson Offices. In this role you will gain a sound knowledge of prosecution processes, advocacy, and court practices, and work in a fast‑paced, criminal courtroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prosecute cases in courts ranging from first appearance to judge‑alone trials and sentencing hearings.
• Engage in out‑of‑court case management, including file analysis, drafting submissions, and liaising with police investigators and defence counsel.
• Prepare and present well‑constructed, compelling prosecution cases, applying relevant NewZealand statutes and legislation.
