Applications are sought for a full-time Assistant Project Scientist position, with a focus on research in yeast on genetics of antifungal resistance. The successful candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary research team in the laboratory of Dr. Leonid Kruglyak in the UCLA Department of Human Genetics. The Kruglyak Lab conducts experiments in model organisms, as well as computational analyses, aimed at understanding how changes at the level of DNA are shaped by molecular and evolutionary forces, and how these changes lead to all the observable differences among individuals within a species.

Experience with cutting-edge experimental genetics and genomic techniques in yeast, and with computational analysis of data from these approaches, is required.
