Position Overview
Summary The Program Support Assistant serves the Caregiver Support Program within the VA Maryland Health Care System. The Program Support Assistant demonstrates independence of action, general latitude for decision making and knowledge of information sources concerning complex questions, policies, and procedures within the Caregiver Support Program. Responsibilities Duties to include but not limited to: Prepare, modify and issue all authorizations of care for approved service. Coordinate and collect necessary data for the program. Assist and help coordinate the establishment of the program eligibility/enrollment of the new Veterans/Caregivers. Audit and make corrections to invoices received from the program vendors. Respond to payment inquires or discrepancies from VA approved vendors providers. Responsible for timekeeping of Caregiver Support Program staff and other Social Work program staff.
