Background

For the purposes of domestic security, Florida is organized into seven regions. Each region operates a Regional Domestic Security Task Force (as described in 943.0312, FS. A state level Domestic Security Oversight Council (or DSOC established in 943.0313, FS) provides guidance to the state's regional task forces and other working groups.

One of the goals (Goal 2) in Florida's Domestic Security Strategic Plan (2021 2023), is to prevent, preempt and deter acts of terrorism. Under this goal, Objective 2.1 reads:



INTELLIGENCE AND INFORMATION SHARING

Recognize, gather, analyze, and share terrorism information and intelligence with public and private partners incorporating the established fusion process.
