Professional Practice Director - Senior Director

Job Description

A Professional Practice Director (PPD), a part of the firm’s Audit Quality & Risk group, functions as the first point of contact in Grant Thornton’s risk management function. In this role, a PPD has direct interaction with our service line professionals and client personnel, resolving difficult technical and other practice issues.

Your day to day may include:


+ Monitoring of in-process audit engagements, including reading financial statements and workpapers on behalf of the National office

+ Consulting on technical accounting and SEC compliance matters

+ Acting as a resource for audit standards and related methodology questions

+ Maintaining active communication with engagement teams and clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively
