Primary Teaching Assistant

Do you want practical classroom experience before teacher training? Could you boost progress through focused 1:1 and small-group reading interventions?

The Role

You’ll deliver targeted reading support across KS1 and KS2. Expect to run phonics and guided-reading groups, provide 1:1 fluency and comprehension practice, and help pupils build stamina and confidence. You’ll prepare simple resources, log impact, and share next steps with class teachers.

The Candidate

You communicate clearly, build rapport quickly, and keep sessions purposeful. You’re organised, patient, and motivated to help pupils make measurable gains in literacy.

Requirements

• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear, confident verbal and written skills.
