I am working with a lovely village mainstream primary school in Quedgeley, Gloucester, who are looking for a full-time TA to join their team from September for the full academic year. Ideally the right candidate needs to be someone experienced, knowledgeable ,resilient and committed. The role itself is supporting a 5-year-old boy who is going to be in reception having been deferred a year and supporting him on a 1-1 basis as well as some general school TA support where needed if the boy is off or in another respite setting. The hours are Monday to Friday 08.30-15.30 term time only. The child himself has severe Autism, is in pull ups, has limited verbal communication but can understand basics. He can display challenging physical behaviour as a result of being frustrated with not understanding what is being said etc. As a result of being in pull ups, experience with or being happy to change nappies is essential.
