Context and Mission

We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Atmospheric Composition group of the Earth Sciences Department of the BSC. The AC group aims to better understand and predict the spatiotemporal variations of atmospheric pollutants, with a focus on air quality, weather and climate. The successful candidate will join the Air Quality and Chemistry team to conduct research on brown carbon (BrC). BrC is the light‑absorbing portion of organic aerosols that has gained increasing attention for its potential climate impact. The research will contribute to improving the BrC representation in the MONARCH model, a component of the Multiscale Online Non‑hydrostatic Atmospheric Chemistry (MONARCH) model.
