Position Description: The successful candidate will conduct basic research as part of the CHASE team with a specific focus on coupling of multiple molecular catalysts through cascade catalysis to generate liquid fuels from carbon dioxide. They will also work collaboratively with a team of scientists from the Artificial Photosynthesis (AP) group, and will be supervised by CHASE principal investigators. Position Requirements: Ph. D. in theoretical or physical chemistry, or a related field Extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: Computational modeling of homogeneous catalysis of small molecule activation. Density functional theory applications to transition-metal containing molecular complexes.
