An NIH funded postdoctoral position is open in the laboratory of Roger Bannister at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The successful candidate willutilize heterologous systems and rodent models to study how altered CaVchannel function contributes to muscle atrophy and the loss of motor units in aging and neuromuscular disease (e.g., amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
