Position Overview
Individually responsible for differential diagnosis and supervision of patient’s care under direct access law without physician oversight.Evaluates and develops plan of care according to American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) guidelines.Administers evidence- based physical therapy treatments appropriate to diagnosis and to APTA guidelines.Documents and charges for patient care services in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.Completes progress notes/recertification to demonstrate the need for continues skilled services as outlined by federal, state, and insurance regulations.Completes discharge planning according to APTA guidelines by consulting with physicians, OT, SLP and with the patient/family. Completes peer to peer insurance review and other required forms for obtaining authorization for services.Meets productivity/KPI targets.Competent:
