The Physical Therapy Assistant implements an individual patient therapy care plan that has been prepared by the Physical Therapist and works under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.

The pay rate is $48 per visit

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

• Identifies possible ineffective drug therapy or adverse reactions, significant side effects, drug allergies and contra-indicated medication and reports to supervisor.
• Observes and records activities and findings in the clinical record and reporting to the Physical Therapist and physician the reaction to treatment and any changes in the client's condition.
• Instructs other health team personnel including, the appropriate Home Health Aide and family members in certain phases of physical therapy with which they may work with the client.
• Participates with staff, client and physician in discharge activities and assist the Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapy (if appropriate)...
