Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician will serve primarily in the inpatient pharmacy areas and provide a range of medication management and administrative services to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the professional staff by performing the following scope of assigned duties but are not limited to:

• Maintains extensive knowledge of clinical medications, safety rules and regulations, and monitoring parameters as required
• Performs a variety of complex technical functions following USP-797 and USP-800 that include preparing parenteral admixtures (large and small volume), piggybacks, pre-filled syringes, and ready-to-use admixtures, besides labeling and delivering, in a timely manner, all sterile piggybacks and admixtures used in this Medical Center
• Accurately interprets, fills, and readies prescriptions with appropriate medications for pharmacist verification
