Position Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinates pharmaceutical, IV fluid, and departmental supply orders. Ensures orders are placed with appropriate vendors in a timely manner. Ensures purchases are done through appropriate accounts including group purchasing organization (GPO) or alternate sources are obtained if necessary. Ensures inventory levels are adequate to patient needs, adjusting levels as appropriate, relative to seasonal or changes in demand requirements, including backorder management. Conducts annual drug inventory, coordinating all aspects of personnel and equipment necessary in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for invoice processing as related to the proper budget accounts. Helps maintain workflow by cross training and serving as needed within the department.
