Overview
Personal Support Worker (PSW) responsibilities include providing care to residents based on their care plans, monitoring care, documenting, attending in-service education, onboarding new staff, and following IPAC policies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring care given to residents to ensure it follows the established plan.
- Observe residents and report findings to the immediate supervisor.
- Assist in documenting information pertaining to resident care as directed.
- Attend in-service education sessions, staff meetings, and workshops.
- Assist in onboarding new staff.
- Follow IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma Program.
