Position Description

The Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) at Washington University School of Medicine (WashU)/St. Louis Children’s Hospital (SLCH) seeks a Pediatric Palliative Care Physician, board certified or board eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, to provide pediatric palliative care consultation at St. Louis Children's Hospital. The physician candidate will participate in interdisciplinary consultation services, facilitate discussion and clarification of goals of care, assess and manage pain and other distressing symptoms, and will collaborate with the primary medical team and community agencies throughout a child's disease trajectory. Additionally, they will participate in the team’s educational efforts with trainees and medical staff and will assist in research, quality improvement, and advocacy efforts for children with complex chronic and/or life-threatening conditions.
