**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**

Under direction of a Registered Nurse, contributes to the basic patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient. Actual job tasks may vary depending on the unit or department assigned.

**_The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide break and lunch coverage, as well as support for patient safety companions and patient care assistants who are providing 1:1 patient coverage within the unit. This is an important role that is critical to providing safe, high-quality patient care._**
