About the role

As a Paving Department Manager, you are responsible for the leadership and management of the Paving department. The Department Manager will coordinate with the department supervisor, foreman, employees, plant resources and subcontractor teams. You could be involved in large projects in scope/size or multiple smaller projects.

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing pricing of work and preparation of tenders/quotes/estimates
• Be aware of and oversee contractual procedures for managing changes to scope of work for direct work and subcontractor agreements
• Ensure reports, claims and programmes are prepared and submitted correctly and in a timely manner
• Ensure forward planning, organising and ordering of contract subbies/ survey/ materials/ plant/ people
