Summary/Objective:
The Quilter Operator performs tasks involved in the production of Corsicana Mattress Company products as assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Production Supervisor. The Quilter Operator follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible in order to support the production goals and corporate values of Corsicana Mattress Company.
Essential Functions:
- Complies with all department and company safety rules.
- Follows prescribed safety regulations as it relates to equipment operation and/or lifting techniques.
- Reads production worksheets to determine the correct pattern, batting, and thread for the completion of quilting.
- Achieves or exceeds daily production and quality goals.
- Loads raw materials onto machine, loads thread, threads needles and checks for appropriate thread tension.
