PA needed to support a 17-year-old Autistic son to access community activities and build his independence skills (Eccles) ASW-SC-001. Seeking a Personal Assistant to support my 17-year-old autistic son with building his independence, confidence, and life skills for 10 hours per week. We are flexible with days and hours to suit different community activities.
The son has no physical health needs and is independent with toileting. His behaviour is well regulated. He enjoys accessing the community but requires supervision to ensure safety and to mitigate risk from others. He is polite and friendly, and can appear shy. With consistency, he would like to access fitness activities including going to the gym, Salford Youth Zone, walks, and possibly a basketball club. He is sensitive to noise and generally prefers calmer natured people.
