The post holder will be supporting the Overseas Visitors Manager in the implementation of the NHS Overseas Visitors Hospital Charging Regulations which covers the management of overseas visitors treated within this Trust as well as procedures relating to overseas visitors’ income.

The post holder will determine whether patients assessed of not being eligible for free NHS care are liable, establish the costs of treatment, generate invoices and working with credit control help secure payments in a timely fashion. Integral to the role is assisting the Overseas Visitors Manager with delivering training for Care Group staff throughout the Trust when necessary. The post holder responsibilities include linking with external organisations nationally to liaise with the Border Agency and Department of Health teams.
