Job Summary:
The ophthalmic photographer assists the ophthalmologists in the performance of eye examinations by using a variety of photographic equipment. The photographer duties include anterior and posterior segment clinical ophthalmic imaging, research participation, preparing patients for imaging, and troubleshooting equipment problems. Testing includes but is not limited to OCT, fundus photography, fluorescein and ICG angiography, slit lamp bio microscopy, and ultrasonography. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of cameras and photographic techniques and processes is required. Knowledge of medical and ophthalmologic terminology is required. A minimum of 2 years of general medical photography or 1 year experience in ophthalmic photography is preferred.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
