Health and Safety Officer

RPO Recruitment is currently representing a leading packaging company that is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join their team. As a Health and Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of employees and promoting a safe working environment in the packaging industry.

Responsibilities

1. Co-ordinate and participate in all Hazard Analyses conducted at KZN
2. Communicate and train risk awareness in all staff
3. Manage Contractor HandS requirements
4. Update all legal appointments as required when there are structural or leadership changes
5. Plan and distribute monthly SHE Awareness talks
6. Log all IODs requiring medical treatment with COID and Dpt of Labour where relevant.
7. Update IOD graph (DIFR) Tracking IOD investigations and follow up on actions arising from investigations.
8. Initiate annual refresher training for Forklift Drivers, Stackers, ...
