About the role
The Young Parents Program (YPP) is responsible for supporting young parents aged 13-25yrs, and their children, living in the Residential Stage of YPP. The program supports very young parents with complex needs and behaviours to develop independent parenting and living skills through the provision of integrated, individualised case management, behaviour support and direct parenting support to ensure best possible outcomes for children, as well as facilitating and delivering parent education sessions.
The Occupational Therapist works with both young parents and their children, to improve child development and parenting outcomes. You will coordinate, develop and deliver child and young people focused assessments and interventions, taking into consideration the complexities that are experienced by young parents engaged in the program.
