**A Brief Overview**
The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Stanford Health Care functions under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The NA supports the care team through implementation of direct and indirect patient care. They record, and report patient information, provide assistance with activities of daily living, and perform simple treatments and procedures. The NA allows for the provision of optimal patient care by ensuring a clean, orderly patient and unit environment and communicating patient status changes to the relevant RN or Resource Nurse.
