Nuclear Technologist

Atlantic Health is seeking a full time Nuclear Technologist to work in the Outpatient Imaging Centers across the Central and Eastern regions. The technologist will be responsible for preparing and rendering radiopharmaceuticals in Cardiac Nuclear Stress testing studies in the outpatient imaging departments, utilizing variety of equipment while following prescribed procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Mixing stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculating doses, and administering doses, under direction of physician.
• Calibrating equipment.
• Performing diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film.
• Measuring radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
