The Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham is a 32-bed open bay unit where we provide advanced treatment for the smallest and most vulnerable patients with a range of infant complications, including prematurity, respiratory distress, neonatal sepsis, neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), and birth injuries. With a dedicated team of board-certified neonatologists and experienced neonatal nurse practitioners, we work closely with the UAB Women & Infants Center and Children's of Alabama to deliver expert care.
