Neuro Hospitalist (MD/DO)
Position Summary
The Neuro Hospitalist provides comprehensive inpatient neurological care to hospitalized patients with acute and complex neurologic conditions. This role focuses on rapid evaluation, diagnosis, and management of neurological emergencies and inpatient consultative services while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary hospital teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hospitalized patients with acute neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, encephalopathy, neuromuscular disorders, and neurocritical care conditions
- Provide inpatient neurology consultations and daily rounding
- Manage acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients, including thrombolytic and post-intervention care
