Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

This Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year.

An average daily census of about 5 newborns.

24-hour shifts: rounding on newborns in-house during the day and then take call from home.

NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested and will take call from home.

Practitioners would also stabilize, manage and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher level care.

Candidates must be NNP Board Certified (cannot accept FNP, PNP, or any other NP certifications).

Not accepting new graduate candidates - CURRENT 2+ years of employment experience as NNP (not including RN experience) is required.

Not accepting Locums candidates.

Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
