Hello!
We are a family with 3 children (ages 5, 9 and 11) in Petawawa, ON. We are seeking care primarily for our youngest (5), who attends school part-time and has special needs, and for the older ones when they are home from school.
Salary: $30/hour
Work Schedule:
July/August: Tuesdays, 10 AM - 1:30 PM
Sept - mid-December: Monday and Friday afternoons, approx. 12 - 5 PM. Possibility of extending until end of May 2027, if all goes well.
Required:
- Current first aid certification, or willingness to obtain/renew it
- Professional childcare experience
- Vulnerable Sector check (current as of past 6 months), or willingness to obtain one
- Physical ability to run and lift up to 60 lbs
- Willingness to care for children when common childhood illnesses and conditions arise (respiratory and GI illnesses, etc.)
Preferred but not necessary:
- Experience working with children with special needs
- French language ability (bilingual family)
