Position: Procurement Manager (Automotive)

Report to: BU GM

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Develop, manage and lead the sourcing team (Automotive) in North America, to identify and develop qualified low-cost suppliers, focus on new supplier sourcing, qualification, price negotiation and vendor management.

Responsibilities:

- Globally source needed components, request and negotiate price quotes and delivery time, primarily in North America Region.

- Strategize the company long-term goals and objectives.

- Achieve yearly cost down target.

- Monitor department and company goals for which sourcing has responsibility.

- Coordinate procurement of special material for special projects and engineering samples for new technology.

- Implement supplier changes, monitor their success or failure, and adjust as needed.

- Familiarize with new technology that would be used in a production manufacturing facility.
