Summary This position operates one or more motor vehicles, which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 26,000 pounds and up to 32,000 pounds. The vehicles operated meet the definition of a commercial motor vehicle, and the incumbent of the position is required to have a commercial driver's license, which makes is a drug testing designation position. Responsibilities Operates motor vehicles such as but not limited to pickup trucks with and without trailers and heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, sewage trucks, water trucks, and garbage trucks. Performs maintenance to vehicles and equipment operated such as checking and topping off fluids, checking tires, or cleaning. Performs maintenance work such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
