Position Overview
Minimum Requirements - Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (Metalliferous Mines)
- Minimum 10 years mining experience
- At least 5 years in a senior management role in opencast mining
- Strong knowledge of MHSA and mining regulations
- Proven leadership and management skills
Key Responsibilities - Oversee all mining operations and ensure production targets are met
- Ensure full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA)
- Manage and control operational budgets and costs
- Lead and manage mining, engineering, and support teams
- Implement and monitor mine planning and production schedules
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a strong safety culture
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in operational performance
